The data bank ECODATA, maintained by CEMPRE and by the Center of Food stuffs packaging technology (Centro de Tecnologia de Embalagem de Alimentos - CETEA), Campinas (SP), stores currently over approximately eight thousand research documents on subjects dealing with the integrated management of urban solid residues. These documents can be accessed by institutions and firms interested in, for instance, adopting new recycling technologies, promoting selective collection programs, gaining a better understanding of the sector's legislation or researching the economic and environmental advantages that accrue with the re-usage of packaging material.
